From the kitchen of Steve Barkwell, Sr. I think Dad
started making these when he went on Weight
Watchers.
2 cans tuna
1/4 tsp thyme
2 tsp Old Bay Seafood Seasoning
½ tsp dry mustard OR 1 tsp mustard
1/4 tsp white pepper or pepper
1/4 tsp cayenne
3 Tbsp mayo
2 tsp worcestershire sauce
4 Tbsp Italian Bread Crumbs
2 egg whites OR egg substitute OR 1 egg
3 Tbsp green onions
1 stalk celery
½ an apple
handful of raisins
Shape into patties and
fry in a little oil until browned.
Comments:
I like these, but make them a little different. I
omit the bread crumbs & reduce the cayenne.
I just scramble in a non-stick pan with no oil.
Tastes great with grated cheddar cheese , a
toasted wheat pita and lettuce.
