cover of a Martha Stewart magazine. I've used the
technique for Halloween spider webs, and liked the idea of
using red, white & blue for the 4th of July.

Make a batch of Sugar Cookies .
Make Shiny Icing or Confectioner Sugar Icing.
On a small plate combine blue food coloring and a few drops
water. Do the same with red food coloring.
Frost a cookie.
Using a small brush, paint circles on cookie.

Drag a toothpick from the center of the cookie out. Then drag the toothpick in
the other direction from the outside to the center. Continue alternating lines.
