From the kitchen of Stephanie Knewasser. Try using different preserves. I like Lekvar.
Mix:
1 c oats
1 c flour
2/3 c brown sugar, packed
1/4 tsp baking soda
Add:
1/2 c butter
Mix until coarse & crumbly.
Firmly press more than half
into an ungreased 9x9 pan.
Spread over crust:
10 oz preserves
Sprinkle rest of mixture on top.
Pack in.
Bake @ 350, 35 min or until golden.
Cool completely before cutting.
