Combola is a game I made up which is a lot like Bingo. The first to cover a row
(a line across) or to cover all 3 marked numbers wins. The marks can customize
the game to the occasion. Hearts for Valentine's Day, a balloon for a birthday,
an egg for Easter, etc.
To make your own Combola:
Print the Combola grid (next page).
stock.
Print the Combola game sheets (click the next button above until you get to
them. There are several).
The glass numbered pieces were made by printing a Combola grid, cutting the
numbers out & gluing them to the backs of clear glass gems.
The gems are available at craft & some dollar stores.
I used tacky glue which is strong & dries clear.
To Play:
Give each player a game sheet & a crayon.
Draw a number gem. I keep my gems in a pouch.
Any container, bag, or bowl will do.
Players mark off numbers as they are called.
The first to cover a row (a line across) or to cover all 3 marked numbers wins.
When a player wins, they yell "Combola!"
If you want to reuse your game sheets, use pennies as markers.
Notes from Stephanie:
I've used this game at birthday parties & class parties at school.
Great game for large groups. I like having prizes for games.
From my experience everyone wants a prize,
so I have several inexpensive ones so there are enough for everyone.
Some prize ideas (I usually find deals on these at dollar stores):
balloons, any kind of noise maker, bouncy balls, small squirt toys, pencils, pens,
sticker sheets, tattoos, candy, crazy straws, chinese yo-yo's, toy medals...
"It's not so important who starts the game but who finishes it."
